Complete answer:
Tata Iron and Steel Company Limited (TISCO), now known as Tata Steel Limited is located in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. It has its headquarter in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and its marketing headquarters at the Tata Centre in Kolkata, West Bengal. Tata Steel Limited is an Indian multinational steel-making company and a part of the Tata Group Companies.

The company was founded by Mr Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata and established by Dorabji Tata in the year 1907. In the year 1911 TISCO started pig iron production and began producing steel in 1912.
Prior to TISCO, the steel was imported in India from Britain. But the situation of this industry changed by the time TISCO was established. When the First World War broke out in 1914, the steel produced in Britain had to meet the demands of the war in Europe. As the war continued for several years, TISCO had to produce shells and carriage wheels for the world war. Thus, it became the largest steel industry within the British Empire.
Advantages of setting up TISCO at Jamshedpur
Kalimati station on the Bengal-Nagpur railway line is just 32 km away from
Close to the iron ore, coal and manganese deposits and also to Kolkata, that provided a large market.
TISCO receives coal from Jharia coalfields, and iron ore, limestone, dolomite and manganese from Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
The industry is situated on the banks of Subarnarekha and Kharkai River, ensuring sufficient and adequate water supply.Government initiatives provided adequate and enough capital for its later development.

Thus, the correct answer is option (C) Jamshedpur.

Note: Tata Steel signed a deal with Anglo-Dutch Company, Corus (now Tata Steel Europe) on 20 October 2006. It was a milestone in the history of the steel world. Company's steel-producing capacity increased five-fold with this deal.
