Zawar is basically a settlement that is situated in Rajasthan. It is located roughly 40 km from the lake city Udaipur. It extends about 10 kilometres along the banks of the Gomati which is a river. It is one of the most established zinc mines in the world. It is proclaimed as the National Geological Monument. Zawar is a municipality made by mining organization Hindustan Zinc Limited, for extraction of zinc and lead.
