There are Six organs of the organization as The General Assembly, The Security Council, The Economic and Social Council, The International Court of Justice, The Trusteeship Council, and The UN Secretariat.
(a) The Security Council is the most important council since it is responsible for maintaining International Peace and Security, recommending new UN members’ admission to the General Assembly, and approving changes to the UN Charter. It also gets its special place as it is the only body that has the authority to issue binding resolutions to member states which helps to maintain the charges for peace and security establishment.
(b) The veto power is the special kind of power that only permanent members of the organization hold. There are only five permanent members: China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. The veto power provides them a special stand on all the decisions taken by the organization for which they have their special and important say.
(c) The functions of the Security Council include responsibilities such as:
1. Maintaining peace and security.
2. Investigate the nature of any dispute or situation which might hurt the established peace among the nations and regions.
3. Maintaining all kinds of disputes before they take major shape.
4. Call the meeting of the members and come to the required possible solutions through mutual cooperation.
