There are many similar similarities between the legislative powers of the President and the Governor of any state and some of them are as follows:-

Any bill which is to be passed by the State Legislature requires the signature of the Governor of the State so that that bill can be enforced into a law. Similarly any bill which is passed in the Parliament requires the signature of the President of India so that the bill can be enforced into a law.

The governor of any state has the power to issue an ordinance whenever the State Legislature is not present in session. Similarly the President of India has the power to issue an ordinance whenever the Parliament is not present in the session.

The Governor of any state has the power to call the session about the Houses of a State Legislature. Similarly the President has also the power to call the session about the Houses of the Parliament.
The Governor of any state has the power to dissolve the Assembly of the State. Similarly the President has the power to dissolve the Lok Sabha.

Note: India is a federal parliamentary democracy in which the President and Governor are ceremonial Heads of State but real power lies with the elected government which is headed by the PM at the centre level and at the State level by the Chief Minister.
