Hint: It is the topmost zone that lies north of the Equator. This zone is located near the Arctic Circle and is covered with ice and snow most of the time of the year.

Complete answer: Lines of latitude and longitude are used to locate precise locations on earth’s surface. Lines of latitude are horizontal imaginary lines that circle the earth in east-west direction. These lines of latitude are parallel to each other and are of different lengths. The important lines of latitude in north to south order are as follow:
-The North Pole
-The Arctic Circle
-The tropic of Cancer
-The Equator
-The tropic of Capricorn
-The Antarctic Circle
-The South Pole

-The Torrid zone lies near the Equator, between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. This is the hottest zone because it receives direct sun rays.
-The Northern Temperate zone and the Southern Temperate zone lie between the Tropic of Cancer and the Arctic Circle, and the Antarctic Circle and the Tropic of Capricorn respectively. These zones have moderate temperatures and moderate amounts of sun rays reach these zones.
-The Frigid zones are located near the poles. They are the coldest zones and are covered with ice and snow most of the time. Hence, they are called frigid zones. Only slanting rays of the sun reach these zones as they are located at distance from the Equator. Thus, very less heat reaches these zones.
-The northern frigid zone lies between the North Pole and the Arctic Circle. It covers the area of 4.12percent of the total earth’s surface. The other frigid zone is the southern frigid zone which lies between the Antarctic Circle and the South Pole.
Looking at the options given:
Option A: The Northern Frigid zone lies between the North Pole and the Arctic Circle. This is the correct answer.
Option B: Northern Temperate zone and Northern Frigid zone lies between the Tropic of Cancer and the Arctic Circle, and the Arctic Circle and the North Pole respectively. This is an incorrect answer.
Option C: Northern torrid zone, Northern Temperate zone and Northern Frigid zone, all three lie between the Equator and the North Pole. This is an incorrect answer.
Option D: The Northern Frigid zone lies between the North Pole and the Arctic Circle. This is an incorrect answer.

Thus, Option ‘A’ is correct.

Note: Do not confuse it with the Southern Frigid zone that lies between the Antarctic Circle and the South Pole. Both are Frigid zones but located at two different poles of the earth.
