Hint:- Marked price is the normal price of the thing without any discount , marked price is the price which is to be printed on the product and amount of discount is the reduction made in the marked price.
Complete step-by-step solution -
Given that
List(Marked) price of frock $ = {\text{Rs}}220$
Rate of discount $ = 20\% $
Therefore amount of discount $ = 20\% $ of $220$
$ \Rightarrow \dfrac{{20}}{{100}} \times 220 = 44$
Hence the amount of discount on frock is rupees forty four.

Note:- In this question it's given that there is a twenty percent discount on the marked price of frock which is two hundred twenty which means that the amount of discount is twenty percent of rupees two hundred twenty which is calculated to be rupees forty four.
