Hint: The earth might possibly be the only planet in the known universe that supports life. As the product of a long period of over \[4.6\] billion years of cosmic construction, Earth is a planet flush with life due to a set of conditions.

Complete answer:The first reason that the earth can support life is that its location is far from many notable hazards. Our solar system is comfortably present in between major spiral arms of the galaxy. There are relatively very few stars near the sun thus, reducing the risks from gamma rays or supernovae. The second reason is that our sun is a long-lasting and stable star. Stars bigger than the sun don’t live long enough to support life and those smaller are unstable and prone to blasting planets with bursts of radiations. The distance of the earth from the sun is just right, where it receives energy enough to allow water to exist as a liquid. If it were present any closer, water would rapidly evaporate, and if it were any farther, then water would stay locked up as ice. Another crucial reason is that the Earth is surrounded by an ozone layer that protects us from the harmful rays of the sun. The radiations of the sun can be lethal for living organisms and thus ozone layer also helps in supporting life on the planet earth.

Note: The planet Earth is well equipped with resources and is ideally placed in the solar system and the universe, whatever part of it is known to us.
