Subject -Need for a playground in the neighbourhood.
Sir,
Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the related authorities towards the problem of lack of a place to play for the children of our neighbourhood.
We all know that children are a hope for a brighter future. So, it is our concern to provide them with all the basic facilities of life. Lack of a playground pushes them to play in the crowded, busy streets, which is dangerous for their lives. Many children are also becoming obese due to lack of physical activities, and some are getting malnourished due to staying indoors for more time than needed. An open area is essential in every neighbourhood. Every neighbourhood must have a park or a playground where the children can play and we can walk on a daily basis. An open area where the children can go and get refreshed, get relaxed and revitalised for their physical development. The children will also develop healthy sportsmanship when they will interact while playing. It is a well known saying that “Sound mind rests in sound body”. A park will also provide us with pure air, which is necessary for a healthy living.
Not only children but adults will also get motivated to get out of their houses and get some fresh air. They can overcome their sedentary lifestyle by walking, running, doing yoga, and relaxing. It would be beneficial for all of us in some or the other way.
Hence, I would love to ask the concerned authorities to provide a playground as soon as possible.
Yours sincerely,
Ashita Dhingra.
