Hint: Immune system is the complex system that includes any number of cells called lymphocytes and they act on the foreign cells, such as bacteria, viruses etc. and defend on all the antigens entering the body.
Complete answer:
This immune system made up of so many cells which includes
Lymphocytes: These are the main types of immune cells in the body, which are of again 2 types : B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes.
B-lymphocytes: B lymphocytes are the cells that produce antibodies in the body whenever any foreign cell or antigen enters and these B cells are attached to the surface of the antigen.
B cells are usually programmed in such a way, where they produce, different antibodies and specific ones whenever needed
Whenever any foreign cell enters, these b cells triggers and produce very large cell called a plasma cell, it produces a huge amount of antibodies that require to attack the antigen
But the function of the B cells is to produce the antibodies while attacking the antigens with them is the work of T lymphocytes.
T lymphocytes identify the antigen and attack them, T lymphocytes, attack on most antigen by itself, and some of them which are identified by macrophages.
Other cells of the immune system are Macrophages, dendritic cells, etc.
When we look at other options nerve cells, mast cells, and epithelial cells do not come under the immune system and they do not have any role in the production of antibodies, so the correct answer is B cells.
Note:
Antibodies are also called as immunoglobulins and they are protein in nature, and these antibodies are designed in such a way that is specific for the antigen, as the antigen has some structures like epitope and paratope, which acts as lock and key and helps the immune cells to identify and attach to them.
