Hint: The biological process in which new organisms (offsprings) are produced from their parents is known as reproduction. This is the characteristic feature of all living organisms. Each organism exists because of reproduction only. This is the fundamental feature of life.

Complete answer:
The characteristic feature of all living organisms in which offsprings are produced from their parents is known as reproduction. There are two types of reproduction : asexual and sexual reproduction.
In asexual reproduction, organism can produce their offspring without the involvement of another organism. It requires only one parent. While in sexual reproduction, it requires interaction of two organisms. It requires two parents.
Option A is incorrect because osteoblasts are the bone forming cells. They come from bone marrow and they are related to structural cells. The newly formed bone is known as osteoid and made up of bone collagen and other proteins. These cells are mostly found on the surface of bone.
Option B is incorrect because companion cells are found in the parenchyma of phloem tissue in angiosperm plants. They are living cells with several ribosomes, mitochondria and plastids. Their nucleus is relatively large which indicates that they are metabolically very active. They are closely associated with sieve tubes.
Option C is correct because the gamete cells are reproductive cells. They are also known as sex cells. Gametes are always haploid (they carry only one set of chromosomes). Male gamete is called sperm while the female gamete is known as ova or egg cell. These gamete cells are produced by the process called meiosis. In this process the diploid parent cell undergoes meiotic division to form haploid daughter cells. Gamete cells are involved in sexual reproduction hence, option C is correct.
Option D consists of all three above options i.e., Option A, Option B and Option C. As discussed above option a and option b are incorrect while option c is only correct hence option d is also incorrect.

So, option C is the correct answer.

Note:
The biological process in which new organisms (offsprings) are produced from their parents is known as reproduction. There are two types of reproduction : asexual and sexual reproduction. Gamete cells are reproductive cells. They are also known as sex cells. Gametes are always haploid (they carry only one set of chromosomes). Hence option C is correct.
