Suppose your parents have constructed a two-room house and you want that in the living room there should be a provision of one electric bulb, one electric fan, a refrigerator and a plug point for appliances of power up to 2 kilowatts. Hint: Here we have to show circuit diagram of the different appliances in house that means it is domestic arrangements of the electrical connection and we all know that the appliances in the domestic connection should be in parallel connection and safety devices must be placed in the circuit to avoid any emergency condition.
Complete answer:
The circuit will contain one electric fan, a refrigerator and a plug point for appliances of power up to 2 kilowatt and they all will be in the parallel connection. An earthing wire will be there for safety in the case of the earthing and distribution box will distribute the electric lines for the appliances. Electrical meter will be there in the main connection before the distribution box to measure the electrical energy consumed by the appliances. In very starting there will be a fuse which is a safety device and it will protect the further circuit from any damage in the case of any fault or the short-circuiting or the overload, etc.
The wire in the fuse will melt itself (since the melting point of the wire used in the fuse is low in comparison to the wires in the circuit) and protect the circuit.
Note:
In the domestic wiring we prefer parallel connection over series connection because there are some advantages of parallel connections over the series connection in the domestic wiring. Some advantages are as follows:
a.)Parallel connection will give the Independent components.
b.)In parallel connection we get the consistent voltage across all the appliances.
c.)The voltage across the appliance will be the same as that of the source voltage.
d.)If there is damage in one appliance then the working of other appliances will not be affected.
e.)The parallel connection allows the addition of other components in an easy way.
