Hint:As we all know that the electrons closer to nucleus have low energy levels and while moving away from nucleus energy levels become high. Tungsten belong to the 3rd series of d-block elements with electronic configuration as $[Xe]6{s^2}4{f^{14}}5{d^4}$ possess various oxidation states,

Complete answer:
As we already know that when the electrons of an atom are close to the nucleus in their lowest possible state we say that the atom is in its ground state and when they escape from the lowest energy levels we say that the atom is in its excited state.
An atom takes up the energy that is equivalent to the energy difference of two levels, from its surroundings by absorption and jumps to a higher energy state or level and while returning to their original states they emit that absorbed amount of energy.
Therefore, when electrons of any atom excites from its ground state to higher states then they absorb some energy and when they come back to their original state they emit the radiation which can fall in the visible range, infra or UV range.
Tungsten does the same, it absorbs the energy while in ground state and excites to a higher level and while returning emits the light energy. It is a metal, having high thermal stability and it is a good conductor of electricity. It has a high melting point and electrical resistance that prevents it from burning thus it can be used in manufacturing of light bulbs.
Therefore the statement 1 and statement two are correct and it is the correct explanation for the reason.

Hence, the correct answer is A.

Note:

China is the major producer of Tungsten and it is resistant to acid attacks except concentrated hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid. It was first employed as a lamp filament and thus used in many applications involving electronics. It can exist in oxidation states from 0 to +6.
