Hint We are given here to discuss the theories on the origin of the universe. Then we have to conclude whether or not the big bang theory is the most popular one out of it. Thus, we will discuss briefly about the theory and the possible reason whether or not this statement is true or not.
Step By Step Solution
There were many theories starting from the ancient times about the origin of the universe. But the most acceptable theory of all was the big bang theory.
The theory suggests that the universe began as a hot and infinitely dense point. It had a width of only a few millimeters. It was similar to a supercharged black hole.
About \[13.7BillionYears\] ago, this tiny singularity violently exploded.
From this very explosion or bang, matter, energy, space and time came into existence.
The next events were two major and very crucial stages of the evolution of the universe. Namely:
1. The Radiation Era
2. The matter Era
First came the radiation era which refers to the domination of radiation after the bang. This era is made of smaller stages called epochs that occurred in the first tens and thousand years of the universe. The epochs consisted of Planck, grand unified, inflationary, electroweak, quark, Hardon, lepton and nuclear.
Then came the matter era. This era was dominated by matter. The three main epochs were atomic, galactic and stellar.
Through the fact that this theory was accepted as the origin, we can say that our answer is (1) True.
Note This was widely accepted theory and hence we considered it to be true. There might be other actual and precise theories to the origin of the universe but we accepted this theory out of all and that does not mean that the theory is surely precise and true.
