Hint: Vedas and Upanishads are authoritative Hindu texts and are the canons of Hindu philosophy. The term Vedic literature means the four Vedas in their Samhita and their allied literature, which could be either based on or derived from the Vedas.

Complete answer:
Composed between 1200 to 400 BCE,Vedic literature is classified into four categories
a.The four Vedas i.e. the Rig, Sama, Yajur and Atharva and their Samhitas(mantras)
b.The Brahmanas (commentaries on rituals, ceremonies and sacrifices)
 c.The Aranyakas(texts on rituals, ceremonies)
d.The Upanishads (spiritual and philosophical texts)

Compiled between c. 1500 and 1000 BCE, the Rigveda is the oldest of the four Vedas and consists of hymns in praise of a variety of deities, especially Agni, Indra and Soma. The Vedas were considered the Ultimate Truth which had the message of the Universe in them along with a prescribed order stating how to live in it.

The Upanishads are the last phase of Vedic revelations concerning more with religious and philosophical speculation and less focused on ritualistic details. Written between 700 to
400 BCE, they focus on concepts of atman, brahman and are associated with each Veda Samhita.
 Upanishads of the Rigveda are
(a) Aitareya Upanishad
(b) Kaushitaki Upanishad

Therefore, the statement is True that the Upanishads are part of Rigveda.

Note: It is important to Note: the difference between Shruti and Smriti categories within Vedic literature. Shruti means what has been “heard” and is canonical, consisting of revelation and unquestionable truth, and is considered eternal. This includes Vedas, Brahmanas, Aranyakas, & Upanishads. Smriti literally means "that which is remembered, supplementary and may change over time”. It comprises Vedanga, Shad Darshana, Puranas, Itihasa, Upveda, Tantras, Agamas, Upangas.
