Hint: Air is the mixture of gases which includes nitrogen, oxygen, water vapour and other materials. It is made up of atoms and molecules which take up space. It has weight and can be compressed. It exerts pressure and can be affected by the temperature.
Complete step by step answer:
The air particle pushes in all the directions and exerts force which is known as the air pressure.
Experience 1: When one is cycling against the direction of the wind, it is very difficult for one to move forward and ride. This shows that the air exerts pressure and so there is a decrease in speed.
The same type of opponent force or pressure is observed when you sail and row a boat against the direction of the wind; it becomes very difficult for the motion. The blowing wind or the air exerts pressure and resists to move forward or decreases the forward moving speed of the boat.
Experience 2: When we blow air in the balloon the shape and size of the balloon changes when air occupies space in the balloon. Further when we increase the amount of air in the balloon it bursts. This shows that air exerts pressure and air comes out bursting out the balloon.
Note:
Empty bottles are not really empty. There is air inside the empty bottle which is invisible to the human eye which is actually made up of tiny particles that moved around us.
