Hint: A greenhouse is used for growing plants. It is generally made by using clear plastic which allows in lot of sunlight. During the summers, the greenhouse usually gets too hot and the gardener opens the windows and doors to maintain the temperature inside the greenhouse.
Complete Solution :
- Greenhouses are the spaces which are built mainly out of glass or clear plastics so that the light can enter inside the greenhouse freely, nut other climatic conditions such as temperature and humidity can be regulated.
- There are several crops that grow really well in the environment created inside the greenhouse. These include lettuce, peppers, cucumbers etc. the word greenhouse has Lents its name to the specific concept of greenhouse. This effect takes place due to the increase in the percentage of carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere, which traps more heat on the surface.
- The atmosphere is enriched with the carbon dioxide gas in a greenhouse. This provides an optimal concentration of gas for photosynthesis and related activities, along with maintaining a warmer temperature.
- Light in the greenhouse enters freely through the glass wall or the roof because it is made up of glass or plastic. It is not particularly diffuse as the glass is clear.
Note: While greenhouses are regulated environments for the growing of crops, they have disadvantages like pest problems as the natural control for pests is not available in artificial situations.
