Hint: Law of conservation of mass or matter is similar to the law of conservation of energy and matter can be defined as anything which occupies space and has some mass and matter is generally found in three states i.e. solid, liquid and gas.

Law of conservation of mass can be stated as an isolated system can neither be created nor be destroyed but can be transformed from one form to another. It can easily be defined as the mass of the reactants must be equal to the mass of products for a low energy thermodynamic process.
The main example of law of conservation are combustion processes in which we state that burning of wood is a conservation of mass as burning of wood involves oxygen, carbon dioxide, water vapor and ashes and another main example of law of conservation of mass is Chemical reactions it can be defined with the example i.e. to get one molecule of water represented by the molecular formula ${{H}_{2}}O$ with the molecular weight of 10 in this hydrogen with molecular weight 2 is added with oxygen whose molecular weight is 8 so we can say that it follows law of conservation of mass as mass of reactants will equal to the mass of product.
Note: There is no change in mass during a chemical reaction this phenomenon can be explained on the basis that atoms are neither created nor destroyed so we can say that the atoms of the reactants are just rearranged to form products. Therefore they show no change in mass during chemical reactions.
