 First let’s know what was the Khudai Khidmatgar Movement. Khudai Khidmatgar means ‘Servants of God'. As its name suggests it was a non-violent protest that was started against the Britishers who were ruling our country at that time. The movement was started on April 23, 1930. It was started to get rid of British rule. The Pathans of North-West Province started this movement. The whole Khudai Khidmatgar Movement was headed by Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan. He emerges out as the main leader of this protest. He was a social reformer who was born on 6th February 1890 and died on 20th January 1988. Because of his contributions to the country and for Pashtuns, he is titled as ‘King of Pashtuns'. Being a political leader, he is known for his non-violence adversary and protests. Along with the Khudai Khidmatgar Movement, he has actively taken part in the Indian Independence Movement and Pashtunistan Movement. He was awarded Bharat Ratna in the year 1987. He was with the decision of Indian National Congress of not dividing India into two parts. But when the INC (Indian National Congress) approved for the partition of India without consulting or letting him know, he felt deceived. He is also popularly known as Frontier Gandhi by the peoples.
