Hint: We are asked to solve the given equation in x. For that, we are going to rearrange the given equation in such a manner so that the variable x on one side of the equation and the constant on the other side of the equation. And then solve the equation in such a manner so that the coefficient of x becomes 1.

Complete step by step answer:
The equation given in the above problem which we are going to find the solution of:
$3x=2x+18$
Now, we are going to rearrange the above equation by putting the variable x on one side of the equation and constants on the other side of the equation.
Subtracting $2x$ on both the sides of the above equation we get,
$3x-2x=2x+18-2x$
In the R.H.S of the above equation, $2x$ will get canceled out and we are left with:
$x=18$
As you can see, the coefficient of x is 1 so we don’t have to further solve the above equation.
Hence, the solution of the given equation is $x=18$.

Note: We can check the value of x which we have solved above by substituting that value of x in the given equation and see whether that value of x is satisfying the equation or not.
The value of x which we have solved above is as follows:
$x=18$
Now, substituting this value of x in the given equation we get,
$3x=2x+18$
Substituting the value of $x=18$ in the above equation we get,
$\begin{align}
  & 3\left( 18 \right)=2\left( 18 \right)+18 \\
 & \Rightarrow 54=36+18 \\
 & \Rightarrow 54=54 \\
\end{align}$
As you can see, L.H.Sis is equal to R.H.S, so the value of x that we have solved above is correct.
