Hint: To solve this type of linear equation we will take variable terms to one side and constants to the other side then we will apply different mathematical operations to get the required solution.

Complete answer:
Given that the equation is $7x - 3 = 0$ and then we need to find the value of the unknown variable $x$ , so we will make use of the basic mathematical operations to simplify further.
Now Turing the variables on the left-hand side and also the numbers on the right-hand side we get $7x - 3 = 0 \Rightarrow 7x = 3$ while changing the values on the equals to, the sign of the values or the numbers will change. Or we can also add the number $3$ then we get $7x - 3 + 3 = 0 + 3 \Rightarrow 7x = 3$ using the addition and subtraction operation.
Now divide the number $7$ on the both sides then we get $\dfrac{{7x}}{7} = \dfrac{3}{7}$, equal values will cancel each other, then we have $x = \dfrac{3}{7}$ or in the decimal form as $x = 7\left| \!{\overline {\,
 3 \,}} \right. = 0.428$
Hence the unknown variable value is $x = \dfrac{3}{7}$ or $x = 0.428$

Note:
There are three methods to solve linear equations in one variable.
1. Trial and Error.
2. Inverse operations.
3. Transposition Method.
