Hint: We are having two linear polynomials on both the right-hand side and left-hand side of the equality. So, we need to solve these equality linear polynomials for x. If we get any value then we say it exists otherwise no solution.

Complete step by step solution:
We are given a linear polynomial on both sides and if we try to simplify this then we will get the linear equation in one variable in which we need to solve for x to find the solution. Now, the left hand side is given as x+1 and the right-hand side of the equality is x+2.
Now, subtracting the right-hand side of the equality from both the left-hand side and right-hand side then we get $x+1-(x+2)=x+2-(x+2)$ and now further simplifying this we will get $-1=0$ which is not possible or we can say which is absurd as -1 can never be equal to zero.
Hence, we can say that the equation $x+1=x+2$ does not have any solution.

Note: Also, we can do this in some other way like without subtracting right hand side from left hand side and right-hand side both we can do direct cancellation and give the explanation of the question in shorter way. Also, there is a benefit of choosing a shorter method if you know the concepts clearly otherwise do it in a lengthy way in order to avoid any kind of mistakes in your question.
