Hint:Preamble is the index or the introductory page of a constitution. The Preamble is soul to the Indian Constitution. It is of great importance as it deals with the ideals and principles of the constitution.

Complete answer:
In the preamble of the Indian Constitution “We the people of India” signifies that people of India are the ultimate leaders. The power rests in the hands of people in the form of vote. The constitution is handed over by the people of India to themselves.
“We the people of India” describes that people of India are rulers of the country. The elected representatives govern the country on the behalf of the people of India.
Secularism means all religions are equal and the state can not exclusively support any religion. The word secular signifies religious equality.
The word ‘secular’ has been included in the Preamble to the Constitution of India through the 42nd amendment in the year 1976.
Secularism is a principle that states religion is kept separate from the social, political, economical, and cultural spheres of life. Religion is open to one and all and is given as a personal option to an individual without any disparate treatment to the latter.

Note:“We the people of India” signifies that the constitution has been drafted up and enacted by the people of India through their representatives and not handed down to them by a king or any outside power. Secularism gives equality of status and gives the citizens the right to practice any religion.
