Hint: Normally the charge is used to indicate electric charges. Which means, it determines the electromagnetic interaction, because it is a preserved property of definite subatomic particles. And the charge is a physical property and it is responsible for the force present in an electromagnetic field. The charge is produced by receiving electricity. And it is in two types which are positive charge and negative charge.
Complete answer:
The presence of two charges can be shown by some experiments. By the rubbing of two glass rods with silk, hanging close to each other, then they will push each other out. So, the silk cloth will lose the electrons to the silk cloth and the rod becomes positively charged and the silk cloth attains the negatively charged. After being rubbed two ebonite rods with fur in some way, they will also repel each other. Here, the ebonite rods attains the negatively charged and the fur becomes positively charged. If a charged ebonite rod and the glass rod are swung together to each other, both will be attracted and they have the opposite charges.
Note:
We have to know that the electric charge is a physical property which is present in a matter and it will attain by a force when the matter is placed in an electromagnetic field. The electric charges are mainly in two types which are positive charge and the negative charge. Same charges will always repel each other and the unlike charges will always attract each other.
