Sundara Sastri Satyamurti was an Indian politician and independence activist. He was acclaimed for his propaganda and was one of the foremost politicians of the Indian National Congress from the Madras Presidency, besides C. Rajagopalachari, S. Srinivasa Iyengar, and Prakasam. Satyamurti is known as the mentor of K. Kamaraj, Chief Minister of Madras State, from 1954 to 1962. On March 28, 1943, he was killed in action.

Additional Information: Satyamurti took part in anti-partition, anti-Rowlatt Act, anti-Jallianwala Bagh massacre, and anti-Simon Commission demonstrations.
