Hint: Now first let us say x is the constant of the ratio. Then the money share of Russell, Sarah and Terry is x, x and 8x respectively. Now we are given that Sarah’s share is 120. Hence we can solve the equation to find the value of x. Now substituting the value of x we can find the share of each person.

Complete step by step solution:
Now we are given that Russell, Sarah and Terry share money in ratio 2:5:8.
Now we know that the actual amount is the amount is nothing but the ratio multiplied by a constant.
Let the constant be x.
Now we can say that Russell has 2x amount of money, Sarah has 5x amount of money and Terry has 8x amount of money.
Since it is given that Sarah has 120 we can say that $5x=120$
Now dividing the above equation by 5 we get, $x=24$
Now we have the value of x. We will substitute it to find the amount of money with Terry and Russell.
Now we know Russell has 2x the amount of money. Hence Russell has $2\times 24=48$
Similarly Terry has 8x the amount of money. Hence Terry has $8\times 24=192$ .

Hence we have that Russell has 48, Sarah has 120 and Terry has 192 units of Money.

Note: Now note that after finding the answer we can always check the answer by taking the ratio of the three. Now on simplifying 24:48:192 we get, 2:5:8. Hence we can say that the answer obtained is correct.
