Hint: The question here implies the source of the rivers Indus and Ganga when it talks about their origin. Source is the place where something begins, where it springs into being.

Complete Answer:
A river is a large natural stream of water (larger than a creek).
Source and origin are synonyms. Like source, origin is the place where something begins, where it springs into being. For example - Pittsburgh is the origin of the Ohio River.
Let us recall a few things about the rivers Indus and Ganga.
Indus is an Asian river that flows through northern India and then southwest through Kashmir and Pakistan to the Arabian Sea.
Ganga is an Asian river; rises in the Himalayas and flows east into the Bay of Bengal; a sacred river of the Hindus.
Now, let us recall the origin of both of these rivers:
Indus – The twelfth largest river in the world, Indus, sources in the Tibetan Plateau, which is an autonomous region of the People's Republic of China; located in the Himalayas. It is in the vicinity of the famous Lake Manasarovar.

Ganga - The river Ganga, which gives birth to the Ganga basin, the largest river system in the Indian subcontinent, sources from a glacier named Gangotri, which is present in Uttarakhand in India, in a region bordering Tibet.

Note: Indus was the river along which the first Indian civilization was built. This was because when the river flooded, it brought a lot of silt which made the land very fertile. Ganga, which is towards the east of Indus, also created a plain which was productive for farming.
