Such people are called Rh-positive (Rh +ve) and people without this antigen are called Rh-negative (Rh-ve) blood types. An Rh-ve person, when exposed to Rh +ve blood, will develop certain antibodies against Rh antigens.
Rh factor is an important component of blood cells. It shows whether the blood of two different people is compatible when mixed - like the blood of a mother and her baby at birth. If they require different aspects of blood type, it will cause problems.
