Complete Step by Step Answer: The lowest chamber of the Parliament consists of 550 members out of whom 2 are nominated by the President from the Anglo Indian community if the President feels that the community has not been adequately represented. To be qualified as a member of the Lok Sabha - a person must be a citizen of India; he must be 25 years of age and must not hold any office of profit under the Government of India and under any state. Thus, he must possess all other qualifications as prescribed by a law of Parliament.

The Constitution provides that the Lok Sabha must meet at least twice a year and the intervening period between the two sessions should not be more than 6 months. The quorum for a meeting of the Lok Sabha is the presence of at least one-tenth of its total members is essential. If there is no Quorum during the meeting of the Lok Sabha at any time, it is the duty of the Chairman either to adjourn the House or to suspend the meeting until there is a quorum.

The presiding officer of the Lok Sabha is the Speaker who is assisted by the Deputy Speaker. The Speaker presides over the meeting of the House; maintains order and conducts the business of the House in accordance with the rules of the House.

Note: The normal term of a Lok Sabha is five years. The President is empowered to dissolve the Lok Sabha and this cannot be challenged in a court of law.
