Hint:
The asexual reproduction in rose plants can occur through the stem cuttings. The new rose plant formed from the cutting is similar to the parent plant, thus rose plants are commonly grown by this method.

Complete answer:
The sexual reproduction in rose plants happens with the fusion of male and female gametes produced by plants. The male gametes are produced by the process of microsporogenesis which occurs in anthers whereas the female gametes or eggs are produced in the ovary of the flower. After the maturation of gametes, fertilization between gametes occurs by pollination in which the male gametes reach the female gamete for fertilization to give rise to a new rose plant. The process of pollination is aided by many agents of pollination such as wind or insects which take pollen grains to other rose plants (in case of cross-pollination). After fertilization, embryo formation takes place. This embryo is present in the seeds of the plant. The seed protects the embryo and nourishes the embryo until it germinates in soil and develops into a new plant.
A seed consists of an embryo, which is surrounded by a protective coat. The parent rose plant disperses the seeds into the atmosphere. In favorable conditions, those seeds germinate and the embryo grows into a new rose plant.

Additional information: Economically, seeds are important primarily because they are sources of a variety of foods—for example, the cereal grains such as wheat, rice and corn, beans, peas, peanuts, soybeans, almonds, sunflowers. Other useful products provided by seeds are abundant Oils for cooking, painting, and lubrication. These are available from the seeds of cotton, soybean, poppy, castor bean, coconut, sesame, sunflower, and various cereal grains. Stimulants are obtained from such sources as the seeds of coffee, kola, guarana, and cocoa. Seeds form a large group of economic products.

Note:
There are many methods of reproduction in plants. If the same question was asked to you about the asexual reproduction then your answer would have been stem, as stem cutting is an asexual method of reproduction in many plants such as rose.
