Hint :The Hubble Space Telescope may be a large telescope in space. NASA launched Hubble in 1990. Hubble is as long as an outsized bus . It weighs the maximum amount as two adult elephants. Hubble travels around Earth at about 5 miles per second.
Complete Step By Step Answer:
NASA sent up astronauts within the spacecraft Endeavour to manually repair the telescope. Five spacewalks later, the astronauts completed the repairs. They installed a tool containing 10 small mirrors that intercepted the sunshine from the first mirror and corrected the pathway to the sensors.
On Dec. 2, 1993, the spacecraft Endeavor ferried a crew of seven to repair Hubble during five days of spacewalks. Two new cameras, including the Wide-Field Planetary Camera 2 (WFPC-2) which later took many of Hubble's most famous photos were installed during the fix.
NASA split the third servicing mission into two parts to more quickly bring Hubble back to operation. During SM3B, astronauts replaced Hubble's solar panels and installed the Advanced Camera for Surveys, which took the place of Hubble's Faint Object Camera, the telescope's last original instrument.
Note :
The telescope was still operating as of 24 April 2020, its 30th anniversary, and will last until 2030–2040. One successor to the Hubble telescope is the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) which is scheduled to be launched in late 2021.
