How can the President vacate his office?

The president stays in the office for a time period of five years. The time started from the date he entered the office. He can resign from the office anytime according to his will by providing a resignation letter to the Vice President.

There are numerous numbers of circumstances in which the president vacates his office:
- Firstly, when his time period of five years completed. Furthermore, in the case of resignation, when he himself wants to vacate his office.
- Another reason is that his removal was due to the process of impeachment and lastly due to the sudden death of the president.
- Apart from all the above reasons, there is one more reason. When his election is declared void, he becomes disqualified for the position or to hold the office.

The impeachment of the president is done as per article 61. The president is removed due to a violation of the constitution. The proposal is made after the notice of 14 days by the ¼ member of the house that signs the charges. The proposal can be made by either of the houses. The most important condition in impeachment is that if the 2/3rd majority of the house accepted the proposal, there will be the president's removal.

He was removed two times by the House of Representatives. He is recently removed from office on 13th January 2021, which is one week before his term is completed.
