Hint: The male reproductive system of mammals possess a paired testes, several accessory glands, a duct system with a mating organ called the penis. All these organs play a vital role in the reproduction process. The production of male sex cell or the sperm cells takes place in the male reproductive system.

Complete answer-
We are aware that prepuce is a part of the male reproductive system. It is the anatomical sheath of the glans penis. The prepuce is a specialized tissue that performs the function of providing skin and mucosa to cover the penis at the time of erection.
The penis is an copulatory erectile organ which possesses a long shaft that extends to form an expanded tip that is known as the glans penis. A loose fold of skin, known as the prepuce or foreskin is present to cover the glans penis. The prepuce contains hairy external lamina which is constant with the skin of the abdominal wall and an internal lamina which remains in contact with the penis. It gets supported by an elastic suspensory ligament that is present in the external lamina and is obtained from the abdominal tunic.

Note-
The prepuce in dogs covers the cranial end of the penis while in cats the prepuce contains orifice which has thick edges and is located under the scrotum. Horses possess a different kind of prepuce than other species having a double fold of preputial skin. When looking for prepuce, following things are given much consideration like size of orifice, the presence of discharge and the appearance of mucosa.
