Greenhouse gases are gases that absorb infrared radiation emitted from the surface of heat and reradiate it back to the surface of Earth. Some of the greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane etc. These gases are released due to human activities such as burning of fossil fuels, cutting of trees etc.
