Complete answer: Munshi Premchand is regarded as the first author in Hindi who worked on realism. His novels promptly bring out the class differences between the poor and the urban middle class. His works cover subjects such as nationalism, religious values that allow the rich to exploit the poor and weak.It can be noted that Premchand’s characters in the novels come from different levels in the society. The characters are written from an experience of everyday lives. His characters include the landlords and presents, the professionals belonging to the middle class, people who belong to the marginal class in society and landless labourers.
