When a gas cylinder bursts then the time available for one to react on the spot is incredibly limited. So, one should be always aware and will run away from the spot or the cylinder as far as possible. This is often the simplest thing one can do to be themselves. If there’s the presence of any carbon dioxide-based fire extinguisher then one must use it to put out the flammable gas fire. Otherwise, there are installations of soil and sand within the buildings. One should use soil and sand to chop off the oxygen supply from the fire caused by the explosion. The explosion of the cylinder is caused because of the leakage of the gas which is caused by the fire source present near to it. Even an electrical spark will ignite a fire and cause the cylinder to burst. Whenever a replacement cylinder is replaced by the older one, one should make sure that no gas leakage is there. If the gas leak is there then the regulator should be adjusted furthermore because the windows and doors should be kept open to let the gas escape.
