Hint: The microspore tetrad cells are a cell that has exactly the half of the usual number of chromosomes. Organisms that reproduce asexually are mostly consisting of half of the chromosomes.
Complete solution:
Microspore tetrad cells are the microspores arranged during a group of 4. Microspores are formed from microspore cells (MMC). MMC may be a diploid cell that undergoes meiosis to make four haploid microspores which are arranged during a tetrad. This process is understood as microsporogenesis. Each of those four microspores are found to be developed into a pollen grain. This tells us that the ploidy of microspore tetrad cells is haploid.
The n represents the haploid condition. During this type of condition, the cell possesses a half number of the chromosomes. For instance, 23 chromosomes represent the haploid (n) condition in human beings.
-The 2n represents the diploid condition. During this type of the condition, the cell possesses two sets of chromosomes. For instance, the 46 chromosomes represent the diploid i.e (2n) condition in humans.
- The n+n represents dikaryotic conditions. During this type of condition, an intervening stage is found to occur where the cell possesses two nuclei per cell and is named as a dikaryon. Later the 2 nuclei fuse and therefore the cell becomes diploid. It is found mainly in classes and Basidiomycetes of fungi.
Note:
The ploidy of any organism is defined as the number of complete sets of chromosomes during a cell, and hence the number of possible alleles for the autosomal and pseudoautosomal genes which are present in any cell. The somatic cells, tissues, and individual organisms are often described consistent with the number of sets of chromosomes present: monoploid (1 set), diploid (2 sets), triploid (3 sets), tetraploid (4 sets), pentaploid (5 sets), hexaploid (6 sets), heptaploid also known as sepaloid (7 sets), etc. The generic term polyploid is usually used to or want to use to describe cells with three or more chromosome sets.
