Hint: For the type of question we will first find out how much part of the garland is prepared from one flower. Since it is given that all garlands are of equal size, we will multiply the value by 600 flowers which will give us the amount of garlands that will form from 600 flowers.

Complete step-by-step solution:
Now moving ahead with the question,
We had initially 450 flowers;
Total number of garlands made out of 450 flowers$=9$garlands.
So number of garlands made of one flower is equal to, number of garlands made upon total number of flowers out of which garland are made, so we will get;
\[\dfrac{\text{Number of garlands made}}{\text{Total number of flowers out of which garland are made}}=\dfrac{9}{450}\]
We had to find out the total number of garlands possible of 600 flowers. So we will simply multiply the total number of flowers by the number of garlands made of one flower. i.e.
Number of garlands made of one flower is $=\dfrac{9}{450}$garland
Total number of flowers given is $=600$ flowers
$\dfrac{9}{450}\times 600$
Which on further solving we will get;
$\begin{align}
  & =\dfrac{9}{3}\times 4 \\
 & =12 \\
\end{align}$
So a total 12 garlands will be made out of 600 flowers.
Hence answer is 12.

Note: We had find the number of garlands made from one flower because we have to find out the garlands made of 600 flowers, but if we are asked to find out the number of flowers than we will find out number of flower required to form a garland, i.e. $\dfrac{450}{9}$.
