Hint:As we have given the cloth required to make 1 shirt . To find cloth required to make 2 dozen shirts , we will use the multiplication here.
Also 1 dozen = 12 quantities

Complete step-by-step answer:
One shirt requires material of cloth$=2\dfrac{3}{4}\text{ }m$
1 shirt$=2\dfrac{3}{4}\text{ }m$ cloth i.e.
$=\dfrac{11}{4}\text{ }m$ cloth
$\left[ \because \text{ }2\dfrac{3}{4}=\dfrac{4\times 2+3}{4}=\dfrac{11}{4} \right]$
Also we know that,
$\begin{align}
  & 1\text{ dozen}=12 \\
 & 2\text{ dozen}=2\times 12=24 \\
\end{align}$
$\therefore $ Material is required for $2\text{ dozen}$ i.e. 24 shirts is
1 shirts$=\dfrac{11}{4}\text{ }m$ cloth
$1\text{ dozen =12 shirts}=\dfrac{11}{4}\times 12=33\text{ }m$
And for $2\text{ dozen}=33\times 2=66\text{ }m$ of cloth
$66\text{ }m$ of cloth is required to make $2\text{ dozen}$ shirts.

Note: Note that when we have given the specifications for one thing and to calculate for multiple things always do multiplication in those questions. (as done in this question, the cloth required to make one shirt is given).
Also when the specifications correspond to multiple things are given and asked to calculate for one thing do division.
