Hint:The ozone layer exists as a shield to the Earth’s surface, to protect it from the harmful UV Radiations produced from the Sun from falling over the Earth’s surface. The increased exposure to UV rays on the Earth can cause many harmful effects such as skin cancer and vision problems in organisms.

Complete answer:The most harmful type of Ultraviolet rays are the UV-B radiations, it can cause skin cancer, cataract, and suppression of the immune system. UV rays help in filtering out these harmful rays but can let in the less harmful UV-A radiations.
The Ozone molecules are formed due to the striking of the Ultraviolet rays on the oxygen molecules present in the stratosphere. Oxygen is a diatomic molecule, made up of two oxygen atoms. When the UV Rays strike these molecules, they produce reactive and unstable oxygen atoms. These atoms being unstable react with other oxygen molecules to produce a triatomic molecule, containing three oxygen atoms, which is the ozone molecule. But even the ozone molecule thus produced is unstable and continues to split on further exposure to UV Radiations. Therefore the cycling process continues resulting in an oxygen-ozone cycle.
Considering the other given options:
IR Radiations or InfraRed radiations are a type of radiation energy, which can produce a heating effect. Sun is a major source of IR Radiations. The ozone layer is involved in trapping a portion of IR Radiations from falling on the Earth’s surface thereby balancing the temperature, but these radiations don’t have any role in ozone formations.
Blue Radiation belongs to the visible range of radiations and does not affect the ozone formation process.
Thus from the above-given options, the most appropriate answer is option C-UV Radiations.

Note:Due to the usage of many gadgets such as air conditioners, which emits gases such as chloroform carbons or CFCs, the ozone layer of the stratosphere is getting depleted. This causes a phenomenon known as the ozone hole. Through which an increased amount of UV Rays fall on the surface of earth causing many adverse health effects.
