Hint: The garment sector is having major importance in the Indian economy. It is growing very fast. However, the working conditions of labor are not yet improved. The rising pressure of production in these industries has caused the exploitation of the factory workers in the form of unpaid labor, extra working hours in a day, and harassment of the workers by the management.

Complete step by step answer:
The normal working day in a garment factory begins at 9.a.m. to 10 p.m. It varies from country to country as per the national legislation. In India, women workers dominate male workers in most cases. We see that the workers struggle to meet their daily requirements even after putting lots of hard work into their work. The condition worsens from formal to informal labor force, as informal labor force does not have access to the benefits or facilities given to them by the government such as pension schemes benefits, medical facilities, crèche facilities, and so on. The informal sector does not apply the directions and standards given by the International Labor Organization and the National government.

Note: The working days in a garment factory are very hectic and pressurizing. There is job security as well in this sector unless the factory is registered under the Factory Act and follows EPFO directives. Overtime is offered to the workers forcefully and it resulted in the poor health, mental, and economic condition of workers. The workers are not aware of the laws making for welfare by the government. Hence, they are not able to raise their voice against their exploitation and ill-treatment by the management.
