(i) Indented Keys (also called as yoked):
The choices (leads) of the couplet at an equal distance from the left margin is called the indent key. Labeled 1 and 1′ or la and lb are usually said to be the two choices of the couplet. However, it is not essential to number these choices, numbering them may help. The user goes to the next indented couplet which succeeds the lead that was selected.

(ii) Bracketed Keys:
