Hint: Trans-Himalayan ranges are also known as Gangdise – Nyenchen Tanglha range. It is a 1,600-kilometre-long mountain range in China, extending parallel to the main Himalayan range in a west-east direction. The Trans-Himalaya range is composed of the Gangdise range to the west and the Nyenchen Tanglha range to the east, situated north of the Yarlung Tsangpo river on the southern edge of the Tibetan Plateau.

Complete step-by-step answer:
To the north of the Great Himalayas, consisting of the Karakoram, Ladakh, Zaskar and Kailash mountain ranges, the Trans-Himalayas Mountain Region or Tibet Himalayan Region is located. Because most of these ranges lie in Tibet, it is also called the Tibet Himalayan Region. The Karakoram Range is popularly known as the Backbone of high Asia.
A)The Karakoram Range: It is also known as Krishnagiri, which is located in the Trans-Himalayan range's northernmost region. As a watershed between India and Turkestan, it forms the borders of India with Afghanistan and China. It extends for about 800 km eastwards from Pamir. This range's average width is 120-140 km. It is a series of high peaks and its altitude hardly ever falls below 5,500 mt. Outside the Polar Regions, it is the home of some of the world's largest glaciers.
B)The Ladakh Range: It lies north of the Leh and is an important component of the Trans-Himalayan region, which in Tibet merges with the Kailash region. Khardung La and Digar La are the major passes that lie northeast of Leh.

Note: The Swedish geographer Sven Hedin introduced the name Trans-Himalaya in the early 20th century. In 1952, the Columbia Lippincott Gazetteer described the trans-Himalayan ranges as an ill-defined mountain area with no central alignment or marked crest line and no division of the river. On more modern maps, the Kailas Range in the west is shown as distinct from the Nyenchen Tanglha range in the east.
