Complete answer: On September 4, 1920, Indian National Congress(INC) met in Calcutta for a special session. The session was chaired by Lala Lajpat Rai. In this session, Gandhi projected to attain swaraj through Non-cooperation in one year. However, this could not be proved true. Then the next INC session was conducted in the same year in Nagpur. During this session, the main resolution of Non-cooperation was passed by the INC. It was decided to surrender the titles, boycotting of schools, courts, councils, and foreign goods of British Government. Promotion and maintenance of unity between Hindu and Muslims and non-violence during the movement were kept at utmost importance. It was during this session that some crucial reforms were made in the INC to make it more political and real. However, these changes in the party made Jinnah and other left parties to divert their ways from INC.
