Hint: our solar system comprises 8 planets. They all vary from each other in many factors. Some planets are hot and some are cold, these are based on many factors but the main is distance from the biggest star of our solar system (sun).
Complete step by step answer:
Our planetary system is named the solar system because of the presence of the sun in it. The list of all 8 planets is as follows:
1. Mercury
2. Venus
3. Earth
4. Mars
5. Jupiter
6. Saturn
7. Uranus
8. Neptune
The planet which is the hottest is VENUS: it is the second planet in our solar system. It is considered the hottest planet because it has a n atmosphere of carbon dioxide only CO2 . Thus just like the greenhouse effect that takes place on earth , it takes place even on Venus and clouds are composed of sulphuric acid. And also it is close to the sun. Its average temperature is \[471^\circ C\].
The coldest planet is Neptune . It's the farthest from the sun and hence is the coldest. It is also called ICE GIANT. Its average temperature is \[ - 200^\circ C\].
Note: Even though mercury is the closest to the sun, it isn’t the hottest planet. This is because it has no atmosphere and hence temperature varies. Still it is considered as the 2nd hottest planet.
Until 2006 Pluto was considered as the coldest planet but later it was excluded from the solar system and hence Neptune was called the coldest.
