Hint: Ladakh is a harsh Indian desert. It is located on the eastern edge of Jammu and Kashmir, in the Great Himalayas. It is bordered on the north by the Karakoram Range and on the south by the Zanskar Mountains. In Ladakh, the altitude ranges from roughly 3000 metres in Kargil to more than 8000 metres in the Karakoram.

Complete answer:
Ladakh is constantly very cold and dry for the majority of the year due to its high altitude. Because the air is so thin, you can feel the sun's heat really strongly. Summer temperatures are just over zero degrees during the day and much below -30 degrees at night. During the winter, the temperature can drop as low as -40°C.

Wild goats, wild sheep, yaks, and various dogs are among the creatures. The animals are raised for the following purposes:
- Yak milk is used in the production of cheese and butter.
- Meat Hide Hair: Woollens are made from the hair of sheep and goats.

Because of the high aridity, the vegetation in the area is scant. For animals to graze, there are only a few patches of grasses and plants. Fruit trees such as apples, apricots, and walnuts bloom in the summer.
Several bird species are common, including robins, red stars, Tibetan snowcocks, ravens, and hoopoes. Migratory birds are among them.

The robin belongs to the genuine thrush genus and the Turdidae family of migratory songbirds. Because of its reddish-orange breast, it is called after the European robin, despite the fact that the two species are not closely related, with the European robin belonging to the Old World flycatcher family.
Redstarts are a small Old World bird species. They were previously classed as thrushes, but are now acknowledged to belong to the Muscicapidae family of Old World flycatchers. The Tibetan snowcock belongs to the Phasianidae family of pheasants in the Galliformes order of gallinaceous birds.

Note: Ladakh is home to a diverse range of flora and animals. Several of the species are native to the area. Ladakh has a diverse range of animal species because of its unique temperature and topography. The snow leopard and the black-necked crane, as well as a variety of other rare birds and mammals, are the gems of Ladakh's wildlife kingdom.
