Hint:One of the largest rivers in the world is the Brahmaputra. The river originates in the Mansarovar lake in Tibet and then empties itself into the Bay of Bengal. It is fed by the glaciers.

Complete answer: The Brahmaputra is known by different names in different regions. In Nepal it is known as Yarlung Tsangpo. In Bangladesh it is called the Jamuna. Not to be confused with the Yamuna river in India. It travels a distance of 2900 km.The name Tsangpo means ‘the purifier’. The Tsangpo river rises as a turbulent river in the deep gorges of near Namcha Barwa in the Central Himalayas.
The highest river in the world is the Yarlung Tsangpo. The Nyang river is the longest tributary. There are three major waterfalls in the entire course of the Yarlung Tsangpo. The river has been a hotbed of various explorations. It is called the ‘Everest of Rivers’ due to the extreme conditions that the river undergoes. In the year 1998, the National Geographic Society had sponsored a Kayaking attempt to navigate through the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon. It turned out to be fatal for an expert Kayaker who lost his life due to high and dangerous water levels.
