1. Sugarcane: After Brazil, the second-largest producer of sugarcane is India. The crop grows both in hot and humid climates, it is a tropical as well as subtropical crop. In the regions of low rainfall, irrigation is required. The crop needs manual labour from sowing to harvesting. The main source of jaggery (gur), Sugarcane, is grown in the states of Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, etc.
2.Oil Seeds: India was the second-largest producer of groundnut after China, as per the data of 2015. Soybean, sesame or til, coconut, mustard, castor seeds, linseed, sunflower, etc. are produced in the country.
3. Coffee: Our country is known for the great quality of coffee in the world. On the Baba Budan Hills, the cultivation of the crop was introduced. The major producing states of coffee are Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu.
4. Tea: One of the important beverages of our country, tea, grows in the tropical and subtropical climates. Assam, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh, Tripura are the major tea producing states in the country.

Note: This type of farming is different from others as a single crop is grown for the entire year. Also, a large amount of labour and capital is required for this type of farming.
