Complete answer:
Option A, True – The inscriptions of the Ashoka were spread throughout the areas of Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Afghanistan and Pakistan which provide the first tactile proof of Buddhism. These inscriptions were placed publicly along trade routes so that a maximum number of people become familiar with it. These writings explained his effort to develop Buddhism throughout his kingdom which were found on the pillars, rocks and rock slabs. They described the thinking and the orders of Ashoka which he wanted his followers to listen and follow.
The inscriptions are written in the Prakrit and Magadha language in the Brahmi and Kharosthi script. The edict or the law has been divided into four main categories, i.e. Minor rock edicts, Minor Pillar edicts, Major rock edicts and Major pillar edicts.
Minor Rock edicts- They are the first written edict in Modern Afghanistan which is described in Prakrit, Greek and Aramaic language.
