Hint: Mixture of any substances can be separated easily on the basis of the physical properties of the substances like color, size, solubility, state of matter, appearance, etc. which are present in the mixture.
Complete answer:
As every solid which is present in a mixture will have individual and specific physical properties and on the basis of which we will separate a mixture of solids. We will separate a mixture of solid by using the physical properties in the following manner:
-Let us suppose that we have a mixture of camphor & salt, and we have to separate these both solids then we know that camphor is volatile in nature and may evaporate easily as compared to the salt. So by using the sublimation process we will separate the mixture of camphor & salt solid.
-If we have a mixture of sand and table salt and we know that salt is soluble in water but sand not. So by using the property of solubility and filtration process we will separate the mixture of sand & salt solid.
-In the mixture of iron and ammonium chloride, we will use the property of magnetism and separate the mixture by using a magnet.
So a mixture of solid will get separated on the basis of different kinds of physical properties of solids present in that mixture.
Note:
A substance will show different physical properties but always have the same chemical composition and we get a new species by changing chemical properties of any substance.
