The oldest living faith on Earth is Hinduism. His many sacred texts served as a medium for transmitting religion to other parts of the world in Sanskrit and vernacular languages, while ritual, visual, and performing arts also played an important role in its transmission.

Belief in gods and goddesses – Hindus worship gods and goddesses. Each of them also has aspects, manifestations, projections, incarnations. According to them, the gods possess miraculous and supreme powers.

Belief in Trinity – According to the vedas they are aspects of brahman only who carry out the three principal functions of existence namely, creation, preservation, and destruction.

Diverse literature – There is literature such as Bhagavad Gita, ancient dance dramas and plays, poetic works, astronomy, medicine and chemistry.

Complex set of rituals – Hindus perform their rituals at home, in temples, and sacred places. The rituals have various names. These are meant to invoke the gods, nourish them, and obtain their help for peace, prosperity.

Belief in karma and rebirth – Karma means fruit of your actions, both your good and bad actions, and so also your actions and inactions, produce Karma. The karma you accumulate is left unexhausted and is carried forward to your next life.

Belief in liberation – This is mukti, moksh, or nirvana which is the highest goal of any human being upon earth. It means liberation from hold of nature, it is known to be the ultimate goal of life.
